Ocala Florida weather report October 2017
Hurricane Irma hit Ocala but there wasn’t anything like the damage you may have seen in South Florida. As she came over land the winds diminished and dry air from the west tore apart the back of the rotation weakening the storm by the time it got here. At my house near SR 200 and the retirement communities there was very little damage just some broken tree branches. Marion County is huge as big as Rhode Island so there was damage in other areas. Some people in rural areas were without power for a week. There was flooding in some areas as well.
October is a warm summer like month here. Temperatures have begun to go down but down to the mid 80’s from summer times 90’s. As the month goes on the humidity will go away and stay away until next May.
